About BudgetLab

Who we are, how we write, and the educational-only disclaimer for budgeting content.

BudgetLab publishes practical notes on budgeting, saving habits, spending tracking, and everyday cash-flow systems. We favor worked examples with plain dollar figures — rent, groceries, subscriptions — so you can compare the math to your own spreadsheet.

What we cover

What we do not cover

We do not recommend stocks, funds, crypto, or any investment product. We do not promise returns, “passive income,” or get-rich outcomes. If a topic drifts into brokerage or market timing, it does not belong here.

Editorial standards

Articles open with a concrete situation, show arithmetic you can redo by hand, and link to related labs on this site. Numbers in USD are examples. Your rent, taxes, and debt minimums will differ. When a choice depends on your credit file, tax situation, or a legal contract, talk to a qualified professional.

Disclaimer

BudgetLab is educational budgeting content only. It is not financial, investment, tax, accounting, or credit advice. Nothing on this site is an offer, solicitation, or personalized recommendation. You are responsible for decisions about your money.
